Marshall Davis Wine is a small family owned and operated vineyard and winery located in the Yamhill/Carlton AVA in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Founded in 2011 by brothers Sean Davis, Ryan Marshall and Matt Marshall (pictured on the label).
Sean's diverse professional background plays an important part in his winemaking philosophy. He holds a bachelor of fine arts and a culinary degree, two vocations that display his ability to uphold the values of creativity and aesthetic beauty. Using a combination of intuition and his experienced palate, Sean methodically tracks the progression of each individual lot.
Estate fruit from the Marshall Davis vineyard is supplemented with select grapes from vineyards in Willamette and Columbia Valleys, where Sean works in tandem with the vineyard and viticulture teams to ensure that fruit is delivered to his specifications.
Marshall Davis wines are released to be enjoyed by a diverse audience, whether to restaurants, specialty retail, and also through their unique wine pub The Horse Radish, in Carlton: a vibrant, energy-filled tasting bar and live music venue that presents the range as an extension to the brothers’ fun-loving and laid-back personalities.
The Marshall Davis family tends six acres of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines surrounding their home near Carlton in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA of The Willamette Valley, Oregon.
Planted on 101-14 rootstock, their vineyard faces south-southwest in aspect. These gentle slopes, shallow volcanic topsoil, and basalt outcrops provide excellent drainage, and 450 ft elevation contribute to the hallmark elegance that Sean seeks to sculpt the wines.
